Bounce Back, Fulfill Your Destiny by Pastor Mike.
One of the Pharisees asked Jesus to have dinner with him, so Jesus went to his home and sat down to eat. When a certain immoral woman from that city heard he was eating there, she brought a beautiful alabaster jar filled with expensive perfume. Then she knelt behind him at his feet, weeping. Her tears fell on his feet, and she wiped them off with her hair. Then she kept kissing his feet and putting perfume on them. When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would know what kind of woman is touching him. She’s a sinner!” Then Jesus answered his thoughts. “Simon,” he said to the Pharisee, “I have something to say to you.” “Go ahead, Teacher,” Simon replied. Then Jesus told him this story: “A man loaned money to two people—500 pieces of silver to one and 50 pieces to the other. But neither of them could repay him, so he kindly forgave them both, canceling their debts. Who do you suppose loved him more after that?” Simon answered, “I suppose the one for whom he canceled the larger debt.” “That’s right,” Jesus said. Then he turned to the woman and said to Simon, “Look at this woman kneeling here. When I entered your home, you didn’t offer me water to wash the dust from my feet, but she has washed them with her tears and wiped them with her hair. You didn’t greet me with a kiss, but from the time I first came in, she has not stopped kissing my feet. You neglected the courtesy of olive oil to anoint my head, but she has anointed my feet with rare perfume. “I tell you, her sins—and they are many—have been forgiven, so she has shown me much love. But a person who is forgiven little shows only little love.” Then Jesus said to the woman, “Your sins are forgiven.” The men at the table said among themselves, “Who is this man, that he goes around forgiving sins?” And Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”
Luke 7:36-50 NLT.
What a remarkable illustration of God’s love and compassion for fallen humanity.
Jesus Christ reveals the purpose of His coming to our world. To show the Father’s open arms to receive, embrace His children, regardless of what you have done wrong or done right. Regardless of your race, background, and circumstances.
Those situations must not keep us away from the lover of our souls.
Jesus Christ has given us unrestricted access to His grace. The only requirement is our realization of the need for Him and we take the step to come to Him.
Then Jesus invites you, saying: “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28 NLT.
You can’t labor or work to earn God’s acceptance. Jesus Christ already labored for you at the Cross. Repentance from our religious inclinations and living independent of Him is the gateway to a renewed relationship with our Heavenly Father.
Jesus Christ came to remove religious restraints and encumbrances in our relationship. He came to revive, renew, and restore you with your God-given dignity and honor, so you can respect yourself and other.
Are you allowing religious folks, your failures, opinions of others, your background to define you?
Are you holding on to your past and just cannot forgive others or yourself?
Just because you succumbed to temptation that rubbished your sense of self-worth, you feel you don’t deserve a chance for a better tomorrow.
God has a wonderful invitation to you today:
“Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.
Isaiah 43:18-19, NKJV.
The door is always open for us to access the mercy of God in Christ Jesus.
No need for us to die in silence. He really wants us to call upon him in the day of trouble without hesitation:
Then call on me when you are in trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory.”
Psalms 50:15 NLT.
I earnestly hope today’s inspiring story, will encourage you to get up and take the bull by the horns. For the kingdom of God suffers violence and only the violent takes it by force:
Matthew 11:12 NKJV.
Now, I urge you to join me to pray this prayer, trusting the Lord for a reawakening:
Lord, I thank you for all you have done for me in Christ Jesus. Especially, for dying on the cross for my sins. My heart is filled with gratitude, knowing you don’t count my past mistakes and failures against me. Therefore, I refuse to be held back by my past. I break free from limitations and negative influence of men’s opinion. Henceforth, I walk in victory; I’m more than a conqueror. A new chapter has begun in my life, and it will continue to get better until I fully accomplish all that you have destined me to be.
In Jesus name, !!!
Pst. Mike
