It Will End In Praise by Pastor Mike
As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. As long as it is the day, we must do the works of him who sent me. The night is coming, when no one can work. While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” After saying this, he spits on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes. “Go,” he told him, “wash in the Pool of Siloam” (this word means “Sent”). So, the man went and washed, and came home seeing. His neighbors and those who had formerly seen him begging asked, “Isn’t this the same man who used to sit and beg?”
John 9:1-8 NIV.
The healing of the man born blind is a remarkable one. Jesus, as always, demonstrated his love for humanity. His mandate to destroy the works of Satan was on full display:
For this purpose, the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
1 John 3:8 KJVAAE.
Now, the disciples based on religious beliefs thought the blindness was caused by what the man or his parents did.
And sadly, to this day, some religion still believes that anybody who is sick or passing through an unfavorable situation must have done something to deserve it.
Some use it to reinforce the idea of reincarnation; positing, that if you did something wrong in another life you will suffer for it in your next life.
They judge people and assume the worst of them.
Some even blame God ignorantly for all the abnormalities in the world. Just like Job’s wife wanted him to curse God:
Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!”
Job 2:9 NKJV.
Hence, it’s imperative that we know satan is behind all the evil in the world. Sin originated from him, and he delights to see humanity ravaged by its consequences.
Adam’s sin opened the door for sickness, lack, toiling, and all kinds of evil to invade the beautiful world God made.
So, it was neither the sin of the man born blind nor that of his parents that lead to his predicament. He was just a victim, just like everyone else.
The world was already saturated by evil even before he was born:
…the whole world lieth in wickedness.
1 John 5:19 KJVAAE.
Thankfully, Jesus debunked the false narrative. He healed the man and unequivocally destigmatized disability. Setting an example that rather than judging, we should show love to such people.
His mission is to bring to light what a loving father God is. And dispel all the lies and deception that Satan uses to keep humanity in darkness.
God is love, and he truly wants every one of us to experience it.
Throughout his earthly ministry, Jesus worked tirelessly within the time frame he had, to reveal God’s goodness through his actions and words:
… I wrote about all that Jesus began to do and to teach until the day he was taken up to heaven….
Acts 1:1-2 NIV.
Satan, the enemy of mankind, has orchestrated so much evil against us. His end game is total annihilation.
Providentially, God so loved the world that he gave us his only-begotten son, Jesus. And anyone who believes in him will not perish but delivered and all the enemy meant for destruction, God will turn for good:
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
Romans 8:28 NLT.
Jesus is God’s eternal solution. He’s the only way out from the darkness, and all that is associated with it.
You can come to him today to receive help:
Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28 NLT.
If you want this rest, I encourage you to pray this prayer with me:
Lord Jesus, I believe you came and died on the cross to save me. I accept the rest you are offering.
Dear Lord, deliver me from every satanic wickedness. Cause all that was meant for my ruin, to metamorphose into a great testimony.
Thank you, Lord Jesus.
Pst. Mike.
