One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up. “There was a judge in a certain city,” he said, “who neither feared God nor cared about people. A widow of that city came to him repeatedly, saying, ‘Give me justice in this dispute with my enemy.’ The judge ignored her for a while, but finally he said to himself, ‘I don’t fear God or care about people, but this woman is driving me crazy. I’m going to see that she gets justice, because she is wearing me out with her constant requests!’” Then the Lord said, “Learn a lesson from this unjust judge. Even he rendered a just decision in the end. So, don’t you think God will surely give justice to his chosen people who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will grant justice to them quickly! But when the Son of Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?”
Luke 18:1-8 NLT.
A big illustration of staying focused and being determined to get an answer.
It’s the will of God that we cultivate the habit of praying. He wants us to always come to him with all our troubles.
Now, why will Jesus want us to pray? And what is prayer?
Prayer is simply talking to God. It’s all about communication with Him.
Jesus urges us to always come to him in prayers. He cares so much about us. And very much inclined to answer our prayers:
Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him, who knocks it will be opened.
Matthew 7:7-8 NKJV.
Furthermore, praying shows our dependence on God. Frankly, we cannot do without him. We need him for everything. He is our source, and we should rely on him:
“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
John 15:5 NKJV.
Sometimes, it may seem like we are wasting our time. It may even look foolish to be invoking a being we cannot see. This may expose us to ridicule. And no one wants to be made fun of.
Essentially, prayer is a spiritual activity. So don’t expect it to go the way of the natural. It’s not like going to the market to buy something. The answer to our prayers might not be instantaneous. It may not even be answered in the way we expected it. That is why it requires faith and patience to reap the benefits of prayer:
But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord.
James 1:6-7 NIV.
Certainly, the Lord answers us when we pray according to His will. Therefore, we should not relent. But continuously keep making our requests known to Him:
Now, this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.
I John 5:14-15, NKJV.
More importantly, the above story demonstrates how the Lord Jesus Christ will avenge His saints at His second coming to the earth.
He will surely grant justice to us His people who have been dealt with by the wicked systems of this world:
In his justice, he will pay back those who persecute you. And God will provide rest for you who are being persecuted and also for us when the Lord Jesus appears from heaven. He will come with his mighty angels,
2 Thessalonians 1:6-7 NLT.
To sum it up, none of our prayers are useless. Even our lamentations over the evil and suffering in the world. They all play a tremendous role:
Then another angel with a gold incense burner came and stood at the altar. And a great amount of incense was given to him to mix with the prayers of God’s people as an offering on the gold altar before the throne. The smoke of the incense, mixed with the prayers of God’s holy people, ascended to God from the altar where the angel had poured them out. Then the angel filled the incense burner with fire from the altar and threw it down upon the earth, and thunder crashed, lightning flashed, and there was a terrible earthquake.
Revelation 8:3-5 NLT.
Dare I ask?: Do you think prayer is an awkward, unrealistic activity? Are you praying just to fulfill all righteousness? Or have you been praying for so long, maybe for a particular thing, and it appears to be unanswered? Are you now discouraged that you want to give up?
I encourage you to take a cue from the woman in the story. And keep on praying until you get a response.
You can also pray this prayer with me:
Lord, I thank you for always being there for me. Your word has made clear that you always hear us when we pray. So dear Lord, I come to you today, restore my confidence to keep praying. May every doubt in my heart give way to faith. I receive strength to not give up and to continue to trust you in every situation.
Thank you my Lord and Father. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

Jesus went into the synagogue again and noticed a man with a deformed hand. Since it was the Sabbath, Jesus’ enemies watched him closely. If he healed the man’s hand, they planned to accuse him of working on the Sabbath. Jesus said to the man with the deformed hand, “Come and stand in front of everyone.” Then he turned to his critics and asked, “Does the law permit good deeds on the Sabbath, or is it a day for doing evil? Is this a day to save life or to destroy it?” But they wouldn’t answer him. He looked around at them angrily and was deeply saddened by their hard hearts. Then he said to the man, “Hold out your hand.” So, the man held out his hand, and it was restored! At once the Pharisees went away and met with the supporters of Herod to plot how to kill Jesus.
Mark 3:1-6 NLT.
An incredible display of compassion!!!
Jesus always seizes every opportunity to reveal the love of God for humanity.
He is undeterred by the antagonism. Though, He was displeased by their hardened hearts.
Furthermore, this story holds a great lesson for us, on what is more important: Love supersedes everything else. And showing love is more vital than observing any protocol. Jesus will want us to go out of our way to demonstrate love: Be the good Samaritan (Luke 10:30-37).
Man in his fallen state is incapable of loving anyone. He is Self-conceited. And desperately wicked.
Sin plunged the world into a ruthless abyss. Survival of the fittest became the norm. Leaving everyone to be about their interest.
So, don’t be surprised if no one wants to lift a finger to help. It’s even foolhardy to rely on men. You may end up terribly disappointed:
Yes, the Lord is for me; he will help me. I will look in triumph at those who hate me. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in people. It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in princes.
Psalms 118:7-9 NLT.
Let it sink in: all genuine help comes from the Lord. He alone cares for us. And He always has our best interest:
I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber.
Psalms 121:1-3 NKJV.
Do you have any adversity that seems to have defied all solutions? Have you been let down by those you thought can help you? Are you overwhelmed by the immense wickedness in the world?
I bring you good news: Jesus is here for you. He is the most faithful friend you can ever have. You should go to him in prayers, presenting your cares to him:
Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
1 Peter 5:7 NLT.
I encourage you to pray this prayer to receive the help only the Lord Jesus Christ offers:
Thank you, Jesus, for your love for me. You said we should come to you with all our troubles. Therefore, Lord, I come now to receive help. Deliver me from all evil designed against me. I also receive the ability to love my neighbors as myself. Thank you for answering me.
Pst. Mike
Jesus returned to the Mount of Olives, but early the next morning he was back again at the Temple. A crowd soon gathered, and he sat down and taught them. As he was speaking, the teachers of religious law and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been caught in the act of adultery. They put her in front of the crowd. “Teacher,” they said to Jesus, “this woman was caught in the act of adultery. The law of Moses says to stone her. What do you say?” They were trying to trap him into saying something they could use against him, but Jesus stooped down and wrote in the dust with his finger. They kept demanding an answer, so he stood up again and said, “All right, but let the one who has never sinned throw the first stone!” Then he stooped down again and wrote in the dust. When the accusers heard this, they slipped away one by one, beginning with the oldest, until only Jesus was left in the middle of the crowd with the woman. Then Jesus stood up again and said to the woman, “Where are your accusers? Didn’t even one of them condemn you?” “No, Lord,” she said. And Jesus said, “Neither do I. Go and sin no more.
John 8:1-11 NLT.
Liberating Power of God’s grace!!!
God’s Law is holy, good, and perfect. But we are imperfect people:
So the trouble is not with the law, for it is spiritual and good. The trouble is with me, for I am all too human, a slave to sin.
Romans 7:14 NLT.
Our fallen human nature makes us susceptible to sin. And the law condemns us if we sin. It brings guilt, which dampens our confidence to relate with God.
Though you may not be caught like this woman, your Conscience will always accuse you. Satan, who knows your secrets, is also bringing your case before a righteous Judge:
… For the accuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown down to earth— the one who accuses them before our God day and night.
Revelation 12:10 NLT.
Nevertheless, you shouldn’t be dismayed. God is greater than your Conscience (1 John 3:20). And satan is accusing you before Jesus the righteous Judge who also is your Advocate:
Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for God himself has given us right standing with himself. Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us.
Romans 8:33-34 NLT.
Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price. And Your debt was fully paid. He wants you to come to him, in repentance, confessing all your wrongs to him:
But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.
1 John 1:9 NLT.
So run to Him; Receive His forgiveness and walk by the power of His liberating grace:
This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.
Hebrews 4:15-16 NLT.
His blood is ever potent to cleanse you when you stumble. His grace will enable you to resist temptation, so you live a holy life:
So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.
Ephesians 1:6-7 NLT.
If you identify with this story and would love to receive the mercy and forgiveness of God, I urge you to say this prayer:
Lord Jesus, I’m thrilled by your love for me. I honor you for dying to save and rescue me from a life of sin and shame.
I’m grateful that rather than condemning me, you empowered me to go and sin no more. I will forever appreciate and live for you.
Thank you so much, my loving father.
Pst. Mike
As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. As long as it is the day, we must do the works of him who sent me. The night is coming, when no one can work. While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” After saying this, he spits on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes. “Go,” he told him, “wash in the Pool of Siloam” (this word means “Sent”). So, the man went and washed, and came home seeing. His neighbors and those who had formerly seen him begging asked, “Isn’t this the same man who used to sit and beg?”
John 9:1-8 NIV.
The healing of the man born blind is a remarkable one. Jesus, as always, demonstrated his love for humanity. His mandate to destroy the works of Satan was on full display:
For this purpose, the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
1 John 3:8 KJVAAE.
Now, the disciples based on religious beliefs thought the blindness was caused by what the man or his parents did.
And sadly, to this day, some religion still believes that anybody who is sick or passing through an unfavorable situation must have done something to deserve it.
Some use it to reinforce the idea of reincarnation; positing, that if you did something wrong in another life you will suffer for it in your next life.
They judge people and assume the worst of them.
Some even blame God ignorantly for all the abnormalities in the world. Just like Job’s wife wanted him to curse God:
Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!”
Job 2:9 NKJV.
Hence, it’s imperative that we know satan is behind all the evil in the world. Sin originated from him, and he delights to see humanity ravaged by its consequences.
Adam’s sin opened the door for sickness, lack, toiling, and all kinds of evil to invade the beautiful world God made.
So, it was neither the sin of the man born blind nor that of his parents that lead to his predicament. He was just a victim, just like everyone else.
The world was already saturated by evil even before he was born:
…the whole world lieth in wickedness.
1 John 5:19 KJVAAE.
Thankfully, Jesus debunked the false narrative. He healed the man and unequivocally destigmatized disability. Setting an example that rather than judging, we should show love to such people.
His mission is to bring to light what a loving father God is. And dispel all the lies and deception that Satan uses to keep humanity in darkness.
God is love, and he truly wants every one of us to experience it.
Throughout his earthly ministry, Jesus worked tirelessly within the time frame he had, to reveal God’s goodness through his actions and words:
… I wrote about all that Jesus began to do and to teach until the day he was taken up to heaven….
Acts 1:1-2 NIV.
Satan, the enemy of mankind, has orchestrated so much evil against us. His end game is total annihilation.
Providentially, God so loved the world that he gave us his only-begotten son, Jesus. And anyone who believes in him will not perish but delivered and all the enemy meant for destruction, God will turn for good:
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
Romans 8:28 NLT.
Jesus is God’s eternal solution. He’s the only way out from the darkness, and all that is associated with it.
You can come to him today to receive help:
Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28 NLT.
If you want this rest, I encourage you to pray this prayer with me:
Lord Jesus, I believe you came and died on the cross to save me. I accept the rest you are offering.
Dear Lord, deliver me from every satanic wickedness. Cause all that was meant for my ruin, to metamorphose into a great testimony.
Thank you, Lord Jesus.
Pst. Mike.
Watch the video below and may you be blessed as you do so.
One of the Pharisees asked Jesus to have dinner with him, so Jesus went to his home and sat down to eat. When a certain immoral woman from that city heard he was eating there, she brought a beautiful alabaster jar filled with expensive perfume. Then she knelt behind him at his feet, weeping. Her tears fell on his feet, and she wiped them off with her hair. Then she kept kissing his feet and putting perfume on them. When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would know what kind of woman is touching him. She’s a sinner!” Then Jesus answered his thoughts. “Simon,” he said to the Pharisee, “I have something to say to you.” “Go ahead, Teacher,” Simon replied. Then Jesus told him this story: “A man loaned money to two people—500 pieces of silver to one and 50 pieces to the other. But neither of them could repay him, so he kindly forgave them both, canceling their debts. Who do you suppose loved him more after that?” Simon answered, “I suppose the one for whom he canceled the larger debt.” “That’s right,” Jesus said. Then he turned to the woman and said to Simon, “Look at this woman kneeling here. When I entered your home, you didn’t offer me water to wash the dust from my feet, but she has washed them with her tears and wiped them with her hair. You didn’t greet me with a kiss, but from the time I first came in, she has not stopped kissing my feet. You neglected the courtesy of olive oil to anoint my head, but she has anointed my feet with rare perfume. “I tell you, her sins—and they are many—have been forgiven, so she has shown me much love. But a person who is forgiven little shows only little love.” Then Jesus said to the woman, “Your sins are forgiven.” The men at the table said among themselves, “Who is this man, that he goes around forgiving sins?” And Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”
Luke 7:36-50 NLT.
What a remarkable illustration of God’s love and compassion for fallen humanity.
Jesus Christ reveals the purpose of His coming to our world. To show the Father’s open arms to receive, embrace His children, regardless of what you have done wrong or done right. Regardless of your race, background, and circumstances.
Those situations must not keep us away from the lover of our souls.
Jesus Christ has given us unrestricted access to His grace. The only requirement is our realization of the need for Him and we take the step to come to Him.
Then Jesus invites you, saying: “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28 NLT.
You can’t labor or work to earn God’s acceptance. Jesus Christ already labored for you at the Cross. Repentance from our religious inclinations and living independent of Him is the gateway to a renewed relationship with our Heavenly Father.
Jesus Christ came to remove religious restraints and encumbrances in our relationship. He came to revive, renew, and restore you with your God-given dignity and honor, so you can respect yourself and other.
Are you allowing religious folks, your failures, opinions of others, your background to define you?
Are you holding on to your past and just cannot forgive others or yourself?
Just because you succumbed to temptation that rubbished your sense of self-worth, you feel you don’t deserve a chance for a better tomorrow.
God has a wonderful invitation to you today:
“Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.
Isaiah 43:18-19, NKJV.
The door is always open for us to access the mercy of God in Christ Jesus.
No need for us to die in silence. He really wants us to call upon him in the day of trouble without hesitation:
Then call on me when you are in trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory.”
Psalms 50:15 NLT.
I earnestly hope today’s inspiring story, will encourage you to get up and take the bull by the horns. For the kingdom of God suffers violence and only the violent takes it by force:
Matthew 11:12 NKJV.
Now, I urge you to join me to pray this prayer, trusting the Lord for a reawakening:
Lord, I thank you for all you have done for me in Christ Jesus. Especially, for dying on the cross for my sins. My heart is filled with gratitude, knowing you don’t count my past mistakes and failures against me. Therefore, I refuse to be held back by my past. I break free from limitations and negative influence of men’s opinion. Henceforth, I walk in victory; I’m more than a conqueror. A new chapter has begun in my life, and it will continue to get better until I fully accomplish all that you have destined me to be.
In Jesus name, !!!
Pst. Mike
Jesus entered Jericho and made his way through the town. There was a man there named Zacchaeus. He was the chief tax collector in the region, and he had become very rich. He tried to get a look at Jesus, but he was too short to see over the crowd. So he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore-fig tree beside the road, for Jesus was going to pass that way. When Jesus came by, he looked up at Zacchaeus and called him by name. “Zacchaeus!” he said. “Quick, come down! I must be a guest in your home today.” Zacchaeus quickly climbed down and took Jesus to his house in great excitement and joy. But the people were displeased. “He has gone to be the guest of a notorious sinner,” they grumbled. Meanwhile, Zacchaeus stood before the Lord and said, “I will give half my wealth to the poor, Lord, and if I have cheated people on their taxes, I will give them back four times as much!” Jesus responded, “Salvation has come to this home today, for this man has shown himself to be a true son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.”
Luke 19:1-10 NLT.
Wow! What a beautiful motivating story, that proves with determination, perseverance and deliberate actions, we can achieve success.
It serves as a beacon of hope, an encouragement to all who dares to dream; who wouldn’t allow the negative influence of the crowd quench their drive to succeed.
We are living in a world that is so prejudicial, terribly skewed to inhibit us, filled with hostile people who are so judgmental.
Satan who is running the system of this world (John 12:31), will do whatever he can to subjugate us to a life of lack, sickness, endless failures and hopelessness. For, after all, his mission is to still, kill and destroy (John 10:10).
Fortunately, Jesus has a better plan for us, an excellent future, a blessed hope with endless opportunities (Her 29:11). He came that we may have life in abundance. It’s his will that we prosper and be in health, even as our soul prospers.
Do you allow your God-given Desire to be swallowed or submerged by the crowd or prevailing circumstances?
Are your natural handicaps or shortcomings such as Short stature or even financial status limiting you from being the best God desires for you?
Or do you, like Zacchaeus, despite all those limiting or hindering circumstances, launch out ahead of everyone to your dreams?
Are you passionate enough to humble yourself like this man, despite his riches, to climb a tree to the top?
Do you have ambition that refuses to succumb to the status quo or defy your past mistakes to get God’s best through linking with the glorious Lord, Jesus Christ?
God has made provisions for all his children in Christ Jesus. You can’t reach your full potentials without his enablement.
Adam typifies how God caters for his children; even before he was made, all that he will ever need were already in place. The garden of Eden overflowed with abundance of resources, enough to eat and drink, limitless living.
God is still the same yesterday, today and forever, he can never change; in Christ we have a better condition than Adam had in the garden.
A whole new vista of opportunities will open up for you if you encounter Jesus Christ.
God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all we can ask or think.
So have you started taking advantage of our endowment in Christ? Maybe you lack the desire to go beyond the natural and switch on to the supernatural. Or perhaps you are not even aware we should do exploits and attain great heights in Christ.
Whatever that might be the case, I urge you to fan into flame the gift of God that is in you by fervently praying this prayer (2 Timothy 1:6-7):
Dear Lord, thank you for all you have done for me in Christ Jesus. I’m so grateful you have made me a new creature, empowered to do exploits in your name. I affirm your word that I can do all things through your enablement (Phil 4:13). I believe that through my faith in you, as I speak to any mountain standing in my way, they will be removed and cast into the sea (Matt 21:21). With You Lord, I am forgiven, redeemed and restored to exercise dominion authority in Jesus Christ mighty name.
Amen🙏

So tell me, why is it that you Jews insist that Jerusalem is the only place of worship, while we Samaritans claim it is here at Mount Gerizim, where our ancestors worshiped?” Jesus replied, “Believe me, dear woman, the time is coming when it will no longer matter whether you worship the Father on this mountain or in Jerusalem. You Samaritans know very little about the one you worship, while we Jews know all about him, for salvation comes through the Jews. But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way. For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.” The woman said, “I know the Messiah is coming—the one who is called Christ. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.” Then Jesus told her, “I Am the Messiah!” Just then his disciples came back. They were shocked to find him talking to a woman, but none of them had the nerve to ask, “What do you want with her?” or “Why are you talking to her?” The woman left her water jar beside the well and ran back to the village, telling everyone, “Come and see a man who told me everything I ever did! Could he possibly be the Messiah?” So, the people came streaming from the village to see him.
John 4:20-30 NLT.
The above scripture narrates a life-changing encounter, a Samaritan woman had with Jesus. She came to the well a sinner, but left completely transformed to a glorious vessel, fit for the master’s use. The Lord lifted her from the depths of degradation, cleaned and reconfigured her life from ignoble to noble use (2Tim 2:20-21).
We find our value, meaning, and life of purpose from our Creator. Sin brought perversion and confusion with aborted purpose to mankind.
Our various religious systems lack the power to make right what we destroyed. But the Son of God, Jesus Christ, through whom all things were made, came to bring restoration.
Have you lost your sense of value and self-worth?
Have you allowed your failures and inflicted guilt and condemnation of religion to oppress you?
Do you feel like an outcast and not good enough?
God of solution sent His Son just for you.
If you drink of the living water Jesus is offering, your life cannot remain the same afterwards. The Samaritan woman even abandoned her water pot in excitement, not minding how indispensable it is to her. The same water she wasn’t so eager to give Jesus a cup from, became so insignificant because she now has access to the living water.
Religious laws and traditions bring condemnation.
But in Christ Jesus, there is an encounter with God that transforms lives. His precious blood offers cleansing from sin. There is no sin the blood of Jesus cannot wash away, so don’t allow satan to use guilt to hold you back and keep you from accessing the mercy of God.
His Spirit brings a refreshing life of power and purpose. The father is seeking those that will worship him in spirit and in truth. If you let him, he will fill you up with his Spirit and, just like the potter, mold you into a unique vessel.
Blessed is he or she whose sins are forgiven (Rom 4:7-8). Do you want to experience this blessedness? Do you want to be transformed and be used of God? I urge you to pray this prayer:
Dear Lord Jesus, I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead for me to be justified. Take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps by the power of the Holy Spirit, as I daily experience Your love. Thank you, Lord, for saving me and for answering my prayer, Amen!
PST. Mike.
Eventually he came to the Samaritan village of Char, near the field that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, tired from the long walk, sat wearily beside the well about noontime. Soon a Samaritan woman came to draw water, and Jesus said to her, “Please give me a drink.” He was alone at the time because his disciples had gone into the village to buy some food. The woman was surprised, for Jews refuse to have anything to do with Samaritans. She said to Jesus, “You are a Jew, and I am a Samaritan woman. Why are you asking me for a drink?” Jesus replied, “If you only knew the gift God has for you and who you are speaking to, you would ask me, and I would give you living water.” “But sir, you don’t have a rope or a bucket,” she said, “and this well is very deep. Where would you get this living water? And besides, do you think you’re greater than our ancestor Jacob, who gave us this well? How can you offer better water than he and his sons and his animals enjoyed?” Jesus replied, “Anyone who drinks this water will soon become thirsty again. But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.”
John 4:4-14
What a powerful illustration of life lived apart from God!!!
We were created in the image and likeness of God. God’s design was meant to be fulfilling, enriching and successful in all ramifications.
The Samaritan woman tasted the bitterness of broken relationship; Failed marriages and living with men in adulterous relationship left her empty, void, and a caricature of God’s design and beautiful plan for her life. She lost the glory and dignity of womanhood. And consequently, lived a life of shame, disgrace, and isolation from the community.
Just like her, most people have come to accept their lot in life. Using daily activities and addictions to numb the pains of failure, disappointments, poverty, abuse, and all kinds of abnormalities.
Man was created to only be satisfied through relationship with God. Nothing else will take the place of God in man. It took an encounter with Jesus for the life of the Samaritan woman to change forever!!!
King Solomon experimented with everything under the sun, did not deny himself anything that will give him pleasure, he even had more than a thousand women, still he came to a conclusion that all is vanity.
Do you identify yourself in her story? Are you tired of living aimlessly? Hustling to no end, engaged in the proverbial rat race, drowning in your situation? Lonely? Battling addictions? Depressed to suicidal levels?
I have Good News for you!!!
The Man, Jesus Christ. He is both the Son of God and Son of man. He was sent by the Father to usher forgiveness and fountain of God’s life to us. Consider a new life from His Spirit and guidance from His Word. Jesus is offering you living water able to was away your dirt and also satisfy your thirst.
I don’t know what you have tried to use to fill your emptiness and to satisfy the longing of your soul. Let it be known to you that your emptiness can only be filled by Jesus and him alone can satisfy your soul.
Once you accept Jesus as your saviour and Lord, you will have access to the living water that he is offering. So, I implore you to say this prayer with me:
Dear Lord Jesus, I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead for me to be justified. Take complete control of my life and help me to walk in Your footsteps by the power of the Holy Spirit, as I daily experience Your love. Thank you, Lord, for saving me and for answering my prayer, Amen.
